A huge round of applause goes to Sara Phillips, whose remarkable talent and dedication brought our mission of being HOPE Artists to life in an extraordinary way. Sara, who has been a Drama teacher at KIPP One Primary for years, made a bold transition this year to teaching Art—and she truly knocked it out of the park with her very first Art Show!
Through her creativity and commitment, Sara demonstrated what it means to develop lifelong learners and celebrate the whole child. By cultivating artistic expression and fostering student confidence, she gave our scholars a platform to shine and share their talents with the community. The event was a resounding success, reflecting the powerful impact of Sara’s work and her ability to inspire students to explore and embrace their creativity.
Sara’s dedication to enriching our students’ experiences doesn’t stop there. Recently, she won a field trip opportunity to take students to see The Nutcracker! While she may have transitioned to Art, her passion for drama continues to shine through, showing that her love for the arts is woven into everything she does.
Sara, your work as a HOPE Artist is truly transformational. Your ability to blend your passion for the arts with your belief in the power of student creativity continues to inspire us all. We are deeply grateful for the magic you bring to KIPP One every day. Bravo, Sara!
