The vast majority of KIPP Chicago funding is from the State of Illinois following the same per-pupil formula used to fund traditional neighborhood schools. We’re also a non-profit organization. These two factors require that our teams not in direct service of students and families be small. Our Regional Team, located in the Pilsen neighborhood, is comprised of approximately twenty employees, who provide leadership, development, services, and resources that allow school-based personnel to focus on serving kids and families.
Led by the Superintendent, this team provides curricular and instructional leadership for teaching and learning and the academic subjects.
Led by the Vice President of Operations, this team manages the school-based operations teams as well as the region’s accounting and finances.
Led by the Director of KIPP Through College, this team is comprised of the College Access and Support Counselors who support our alumni in college and managed the High School Transition Coordinators at each middle school campus.
Led by the Vice President of Growth Strategy and Development, this team is charged with fundraising to support our KIPP Through College program and other programs that lie outside of traditional academic offerings.
Led by the Vice President of Operations, this team collects, analyzes, and presents student data for operational and instructional purposes, and manages the technology infrastructure of the campuses.
Led by the Head of Talent, this team recruit high-quality teachers and other staff, manages our selection process, and supports school leaders in making hiring decisions.
